How is RecoveryManager Plus licensed?
RecoveryManager Plus is licensed individually for Active Directory, on-premises Exchnage, and Exchange Online components. It is licensed through annual subscriptions based on the number of enabled user objects in the domain for AD, and the number of mailboxes backed up for your Exchange.
Can I use RecoveryManager Plus to back up just my Exchange Online/on-premises Exchange and not my Active Directory?
The Exchange Online, on-premises Exchnage and Active Directory component of RecoveryManager Plus are licensed individually. You can choose to avail any one (Exchange Online, on-premises Exchnage or Active Directory) or all, based on your requirement.
How is RecoveryManager Plus licensed for Active Directory?
The Active Directory license component is based on Number of Enabled User Objects. There are no restrictions on the number of Groups, Computers, OUs, etc. that can be backed up using RecoveryManager Plus.
How is RecoveryManager Plus licensed for Exchange (on-premises and/or Exchange Online)?
The Exchange Online license component is licensed through annual subscriptions based on the number of mailboxes you want to back up.
Should I have to get different licenses for my groups and my computers?
Not necessary; Licenses are given based on the number of enabled users and not based on the number of all other AD objects.
How do I find the number of user objects in my domain to purchase a license?
To know the number of user objects in your domain, configure the domain to be backed up in RecoveryManager Plus, and click the license link in the top-right corner after logging in.
Does the license include inactive users such as the disabled users and account expired users?
RecoveryManager Plus's Active Directory Component is licensed only based on Number of active user objects. By default, RecoveryManager Plus backs up all AD Objects including disabled user objects and account expired users.
