How to configure a new webhook template in ADManager Plus

ADManager Plus allows you to manage identities across enterprise applications using webhooks. Webhook templates in ADManager Plus use REST or SOAP APIs to contact external applications and manage user data between the applications and your Active Directory (AD).

Steps to construct a webhook template

1. Log in to ADManager Plus and navigate to the Automation tab.
2. In the left pane, under Configuration, click Orchestration Template.
3. On the top-right corner, click Configure Webhook.
4. Click + New Webhook Template.
5. Enter a suitable name and description for your webhook template.
6. Select the desired HTTP action that you would like to perform from the drop-down menu and enter the endpoint URL.
7. If the application has already been integrated with ADManager Plus, in the Authorization field, select the respective application to authorize the API requests. If not, add an Authorization header in the Headers field.

   Note: The Authorization header's value will vary from application to application, depending on the type of authentication the application uses to authorize API requests. Please refer to the respective application's API documentation for more details on authorizing API requests.

8. Configure the desired Headers and Parameters in the respective fields.
9. Select the Message Type and configure the API message.
10. Click Test and Save.

This webhook can be used while configuring an orchestration template. Alternatively, outbound webhooks configured in integrated applications are also considered as webhook templates and can be used while configuring an orchestration template.
