24039: Issued a database checkpoint command

A checkpoint is a restoring point from which database changes can be restored after a crash or failure. Event 24039 occurs when a command to create a checkpoint in a database has been issued in an SQL server. It is generated by the DATABASE_OPERATION_GROUP action group. Important information can be derived from this event including the:

  • Date and time at which the event occurred.
  • Session identifier of the event.
  • Privileged user who performed the action.
  • Database associated with the event.
