How to integrate Zendesk with Active Directory (AD) for password synchronization using ADSelfService Plus?

ADSelfService Plus’ Real-time Password Synchronizer reduces password-related issues by ensuring that users' passwords are synchronized across different applications. The Real-time Password Synchronizer also ensures that changes to passwords and user resets are also synchronized with the users' Zendesk accounts.

With this feature, users need not worry about remembering multiple passwords. Once they change or reset their password in one application, the new password will be automatically synchronized across other applications all in one go!

Steps to synchronize ZenDesk and AD passwords using ADSelfService Plus:

1. Log in to the ADSelfService Plus web console with admin credentials.
2. Navigate to Configuration → Self-Service → Password Sync/Single Sign On → Add Application..
3. In the dashboard that displays the list of applications supported by ADSelfService Plus, click Zendesk. Zendesk's configuration page will be displayed.

   

4. Enter the Application Name.
5. In the Domain Name field, enter the domain name of the Zendesk account.
6. Select the desired policy from the Assign Policies drop-down list.
   Note: Password synchronization will only be enabled for users who are part of the selected policy.

   

7. Check the box next to Enable Password Sync.
8. Type the Username and Password of the Zendesk account in the respective fields.
9. Click Add Application.

That's it! You have now integrated Zendesk with Active Directory through ADSelfService Plus for password synchronization.
