Control Policy reports

The Control Policy reports provide visibility into how your cloud protection control policies are being enforced. These reports help you track policy violations, identify actors who frequently break policies,, and verify that restrictions on high-risk and non-business applications are working as intended. These are useful for policy tuning, incident investigation, and compliance reporting.

To navigate to these reports, follow these steps:

  • Select Cloud Protection from the application drop-down.
  • Go to Reports > Control Policies.
  • Choose a reports and select the desired time range from the Period drop-down.

Available Reports

Report name Description Purpose
Policy Violations Lists all events where a control policy was triggered.

You can filter by policy category — Advanced URL Filtering, File Upload Control, Login Control, and others.
Use this report to track policy enforcement activity and investigate specific violation events by user, application, or policy.
Policy Violations by Actors Lists actors ranked by the total number of control policy violations they have triggered. Use this report to identify repeat offenders and prioritize actors whose cloud usage behavior requires closer review or corrective action.
Login Control Policy Violations Lists all login attempts to cloud applications that were blocked by Login Control policy. Use this report to monitor unauthorized or policy-violating login activity and identify actors that may be attempting to access restricted services.
Blocked High-Risk Apps Accessed Lists attempts to access high-risk cloud applications that were blocked by Cloud App Control policy, Advanced URL Filtering policy or Banned Applications settings.

High-risk is an internal cloud app classification that includes categories such as key loggers, malware or bot networks, and phishing sites.
Use this report to verify that restrictions on high-risk application are being enforced and review the frequency and source of blocked access attempts.
Blocked Non-Business Apps Accessed Lists attempts to access non-business cloud applications that were blocked by Cloud App Control policy, Advanced URL Filtering policy, or Banned Applications settings.

Non-business is an internal cloud app classification that includes categories such as social media, gaming platforms, and entertainment services.
Use this report to verify that restrictions on personal and non-work related applications are being enforcing correctly and identity actors who repeatedly attempt to access them.
Actors Accessing Blocked High-Risk Apps Lists actors ranked by the number of attempts to access blocked high-risk applications. Use this report to identify actors who persistently attempt to access restricted high-risk services.

Frequent attempts may indicate deliberate attempts to circumvent security controls or the need for user awareness training.
Actors Accessing Blocked Non-Business Apps Lists actors ranked by the number of attempts to access blocked non-business applications. Use this report to identify actors who frequently attempt to access personal or non-work-related apps.
