Affected software versions Builds 6523 and earlier
Fixed version Build 6524
Fixed on January 31, 2026

Details

CVE-2026-3183 refers to a Broken Authentication vulnerability reported in ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus where incomplete enforcement of session-level authentication state checks at a sensitive API endpoint allowed an attacker with a valid user password to bypass MFA and gain unauthorized account access

Impact

This vulnerability affects builds 6523 and earlier. Any attacker with knowledge of a valid user's domain password can exploit this vulnerability to fully bypass MFA protections, gain unauthorized access to that user's ADSelfService Plus account, and take over associated privileges.

Fix

This issue has been resolved in ADSelfService Plus build 6524 by enforcing session-level authentication state checks at sensitive API endpoints, ensuring that privileged operations can only be performed by sessions that have completed MFA.

Steps to update

Update your ADSelfService Plus instance to build 6524 or later, using the service pack.
