Enhancements & Bug fixes between Build 70100 and 70203

General

  1. If you have moved a computer from one remote office to the other, you can automatically install the appropriate agent to the computer from the SoM page.
  2. Adding Computers in SoM has been enhanced; the computers that have been already added cannot be added again.
  3. Option to manually wake up a remote computer has been added in Wake on LAN tool.
  4. Issue in dynamic variables listing has been fixed.
  5. Support to send email using Transport Layer Security (TLS) has been included.
  6. Support to establish secured connection with mail server (SMTPS) has been included.
  7. Enhanced the Database Backup and Restore functionality.
  8. Provision to change "Authentication Type" in "User Administration - Modify Users" is added.
  9. ServiceDesk Settings enhanced to include the 3rd party SSL Certificate details of your ServiceDesk installation.
  10. Page loading time of the Home Page and the Scope of Management (SoM) page has been improved.
  11. Issue in attaching the agent logs for computers in WAN while creating a Support File has been fixed.
  12. Ability to authenticate Desktop Central users via Active Directory has been included.

Agent

  1. Fixed the server not reachable issue from agent tray icon
  2. Users will now be able to automatically attach a screenshot of their desktop along with their requests.
  3. User Requests can now be automatically logged as tickets in ServiceDesk Plus.
  4. Issue in Agent communication when Distribution Server has multiple IP addresses has been fixed.

Remote Office Management

  1. You will now be able to set the maximum bandwidth that a distribution server can use for data replication from the user interface.
  2. Issue in replicating the dependent patches to the distribution server has been fixed.
  3. Replication of data in the Distribution Server has been optimized to replicate only in the required remote offices to save WAN bandwidth.
  4. Issue in installing Distribution Server other than "Program Files" folder has been fixed.

Software Deployment

  1. Package creation from pre-defined templates introduced under Software Deployment module
  2. Software Deployment gets integrated with ServiceDesk Plus
  3. Fixed the network share related issues in software deployment
  4. Support for deploying software across multiple domains has been included.
  5. The size restriction in using "Http mode" while adding the package has been increased to 1GB.

Inventory Management

  1. Issue in detecting prohibited software has been fixed
  2. Prohibited Software has been enhanced to make users request for using it.
  3. When adding the license details of a software, license or invoice files added in PDF format could not be downloaded later. This issue has been fixed.
  4. Hardware details of CDROM Drive, USB Controller and USB Hub will now have an additional column indicating the reason for the hardware error, if any.
  5. Support to update Asset Data to ServiceDesk Plus in secure mode (HTTPS) has been included.
  6. Monitor details in Computer Details view has been enhanced to include Monitor Size and Installation information.
  7. Issue in getting the CD Keys in some specific cases has been fixed in Software Product Keys report.
  8. Accessing Inventory Reports issue has been fixed.
  9. Network Adapters details in Computer Details view has been enhanced to include the Connection Status.
  10. OS included in Software Licensing.
  11. OS Count mismatch issue in Computer Reports of Inventory module has been fixed.
  12. Issue in retrieving the Product Keys of Microsoft Office 2010 has been fixed.

Patch Management

  1. Patch detection mechanism has been enhanced.
  2. Issue in showing Patch Installation Progress has been fixed.
  3. Issue in rebooting the client computer when the reboot time is set to "zero" minutes has been fixed.
  4. Issue in deploying patches in some specific cases has been fixed.
  5. Option to approve patches prior to deployment has been introduced.
  6. Patch engine has been optimized for large networks.
  7. Provision to Block Shutdown during Patch Installation has been added.
  8. Option to change the location where the downloaded patches are stored has been included.
  9. Draft download issue during Automated Patch Deployment has been fixed.
  10. Support to automate patch deployment for Java has been included.
  11. Support for patching third party applications in non-Engish OS has been included.
  12. OS Service Pack attribute has been included in the System Health Wizard of Patch Management.
  13. Patch Management Notifications has been enhanced to notify the availability of new patch releases from Microsoft Patch Tuesdays.
  14. Issue in replicating the patches in the Distribution Server when file already exists and if the patch version is modified has been fixed.
  15. "Scanning Timed Out" issue during on-demand scanning has been fixed.

Remote Control

  1. User confirmation prior to remote connection has been enhanced with an option to exclude specific computers.
  2. When you have multiple monitors and if the resolution of the secondary monitor is higher than the primary monitor, switching between monitors will reduce the display area in the Remote Control viewer. This has been fixed.
  3. Issue in connecting to a remote desktop using a wrong IP from the Inventory and Patch Mgmt views has been fixed.
  4. Client settings during remote sessions like locking the key board, mouse, and blackening the monitor, which is available in the viewer, can also be done globally for all remote connections.
  5. Ctrl+Alt+Del support for Remote Desktop Control on Windows Vista or later (when UAC and SAS are off) has been added.
  6. Issue in blinking the cursor on the client screen during a remote session has been fixed.
  7. Issue in retrieving the monitor details of computers having more than one monitor has been fixed.
  8. Remote Control performance has been optimized.
  9. Issue in performing double-click actions twice on the Remote Computer when using Java Viewer has been fixed.
  10. Num Lock key issue on the Remote Computer when accessing it using the Activex viewer has been fixed.
  11. Issue while editing Remote Control Settings has been fixed.
  12. File Transfer Support included in Java Viewer.
  13. File Transfer Support has been included.
  14. Dual Monitor Support has been added.
  15. 16 bit Color Quality Support included.

Reports

  1. "Local Group Member" Reports is introduced
  2. 'Remaining Days' mismatch in Soon-to-Expire User Password Report has been fixed.
  3. 'Office Location' attribute corresponding to a particular AD User will now be populated in the AD User Reports.
  4. User Name attribute has been added in AD User Logon History Report.

Configurations

  1. When deleting an user account from a computer, you can also choose to remove the user profiles from that computer.
  2. Message Box configuration now supports displaying messages in Multi language.
  3. Issue in viewing execution status summary of configurations - 'Install Software' & 'Install Patch' has been fixed.
  4. Issue in updating the configuration status when a computer object is removed from the Active Directory has been fixed.
  5. Support for configuring Office 2007 and 2010 has been included in MS Office and MS Outlook configurations.
  6. Issue in blocking/unblocking USB devices using Secure USB Configuration has been fixed.
  7. Slowness in validating the define target has been fixed.
  8. Provision to retry the configurations when the execution fails has been included.
  9. Added more dynamic variables to the existing list of dynamic variables in the Configurations section.
  10. Fixed issues related to the advanced options in the Scheduler configuration section
  11. You can now install multiple IP Printers as a single configuration.
  12. Issue in calculating the configuration target status in some specific cases has been fixed.
  13. Issues in Power Management Configuration have been fixed.
  14. Issue in deleting the ports of the corresponding IP Printer has been fixed.
