Vulnerability Database not getting updated - "Unable to establish direct connection"
Problem
Vulnerability Patch DB Update fails with error message -"Unable to establish direct connection".
Cause
One possible reason could be that your Network Firewall is blocking the data as,
- The firewall does not allow communication through port 443 and 80
- The sync.patchquest.com is not added to the exception list of your network firewall.
Resolution
- Open the ports 443 and 80 to allow the firewall to communicate.
- Add the sync.patchquest.com to the exception list of your firewall.

- https://sync.patchquest.com/../../../mssecure.sql
- https://sync.patchquest.com/.../../../msnonsecure.sql
- https://sync.patchquest.com/.../../../tusecure.sql
- https://sync.patchquest.com/.../../../avsecure.sql
- https://sync.patchquest.com/.../../../product.sql
Your proxy server should allow downloading these files.
