Software Deployment failure - The handle is invalidProblemYou are unable to perform software installation and you get an error message -"The handle is invalid" during the process. CauseThe Desktop Central Application will throw "The handle is invalid" error during Software Installation due to one or more of the following reasons:
ResolutionVerify the Installation Arguments Copy the installation arguments and manually execute them in any of the client machines. Check that the installation happens without requiring user interventions. In case of any pop-up during the installation, ensure you are using the correct silent installation arguments of the software you are trying to deploy. Make the Working Directory Accessible For a problem-free software deployment, the Desktop Central agents residing in the client machines should be able to reach the root path or the working directory that has the software executable. Authenticated Users and Everyone group should possess READ & EXECUTE permissions to this Working Directory. This video will explain the process in detail. Specify a valid Working Directory The working directory you specify for Software Deployment should not contain the executable file path, instead should limit to the folder containing the executable.
