Specify HTTPS url for secure integration with Desktop Central server


This problem occurs during integration, when the communication to Desktop Central server is found to be insecure.


In Desktop Central, you can use HTTPS to establish a secure communication with the Desktop Central server while setting up the integration with Zendesk.


For secure communication, HTTPS is mandate. To permanently choose HTTPS in your Desktop Central server, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click the Admin tab.
  2. In the Global Settings section, click Server Settings.
  3. In the General Settings section, choose the Enable Secure Login (HTTPS) checkbox.
  4. You can also use a third-party SSL certificate signed by a valid Certificate Authority (CA) to secure communication with the DC server.
  5. Click to Save Changes.
