Regular Updates

ManageEngine listens to its customers and plan periodic enhancements to the product and also add new features for the betterment of the product and its users. These enhancements are delivered to the users in the form of Hotfixes, Service Packs and upgrade packs, which will be notified to the users in the product and through product Newsletters. All the hotfixes are tested for their quality and performance. However, they are released to customers on batches and will not be published to all customers on the day of release.

Customer Fixes

While these periodic updates are planned and released once in a month, any customer reported issues are given immediate attention and a fix will be provided to the reporter privately as soon as possible. These customer fixes are not publicly announced as some may be very specific to a customer environment. The support team will keep constant touch with the customer to ensure that the fix provided has resolved the reported problem. These fixes will get integrated into our Regular Updates subsequently.

Security Updates

Security updates are released to fix critical issues that could affect all the users and/or vulnerable to attacks. To know in detail about the security updates refer to the below-given points.

  • Third-party components: Issues reported in 3rd party components, like Apache, that are used in Endpoint Central will be fixed and released within 10-60 working days. In rare cases, more time would be taken for release depending on the component-dependency as these fixes require deeper analysis and a longer testing period.
  • Internal components: Based on the severity of the issue and intensity of the efforts involved, security issues will be qualified, fixed and released within 10-30 working days.

Note: In a few cases, the delivery of the security fix might take longer than the mentioned duration if the scope of the fix is huge.
