Unable to reach


The download or deployment of Redhat patches fails with the error message - "Unable to reach"


A certificate file named cacerts is required to login to the Red Hat portal. The cacerts file is a collection of trusted certificate authority (CA) certificates. This file resides in DesktopCentral_Server\lib\downloadTool. You will encounter this error if the cacerts file is not found in the specified location.


You need to verify the following the steps mentioned below :

  1. Ensure the cacerts file is available in the specified location: DesktopCentral_Server\lib\downloadTool.If it is not available, download and place it in the specified location. Contact support if the issue still exists.
  2. Check for network connectivity to successfully reach the Red Hat portal.
  3. Wait for the RHN portal to be up and working.

In case you are not able to troubleshoot the error, and the problem still persists, then contact support team with the Log files.
