Product life cycle plan: End of support

This webpage contains information on the support life cycle of each version of ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer. After every major release, we support the previous version for a considerable period to allow users to plan their upgrade or migration effectively. After a version reaches its end of support (EOS), it will no longer receive technical support or security updates.

End of support details

A support life cycle denotes the period from when a version is available for download to when it is no longer supported. When a version of EventLog Analyzer reaches its EOS, security updates, non-security updates, features, enhancements, or technical support are no longer provided. Shortly after a new version is released, we issue an EOS about the previous version on this webpage. An EOS is announced six months prior to the effective retirement date, so that the users can plan and execute the version upgrade accordingly. EventLog Analyzer strongly encourages users running the older version to upgrade to the latest version which has been crafted to be a better and more secure version of EventLog Analyzer.

ManageEngine is not liable for any security or performance issues caused by EOS versions. Our ability to deliver a seamless experience depends on your cooperation to upgrade to the latest version of EventLog Analyzer when it is available.

FAQs

1. What is the purpose of the EOS Policy?

The EOS Policy is intended to benefit EventLog Analyzer customers. We update our versions to provide better features, security, and functionality over time to meet evolving business needs. We expect our users to cooperate fully and upgrade to the latest version.

2. Is the EOS different from the EOL (end of life) policy?

A: Yes, EOS signifies that support for the specific build has stopped, but customers are still free to use the product as long as ManageEngine won't be held liable for any problems. EOL denotes that a build or product has reached the end of its useful life and should no longer be used. We announce the end of support (EOS) only for the earlier versions. However, you can continue to use the older versions at your own risk as your Annual Maintenance and Support plan will not be renewed for these versions, and technical support will not be provided beyond the dates mentioned. Versions designated as EOL should be not be utilized.

3. For how long will a version of EventLog Analyzer be fully supported?

Any version of EventLog Analyzer will be fully supported for a minimum of 12 months from the date of its release. As new versions are released, previous versions are supported for a certain period of time, then pushed to EOS. The latest version of EventLog Analyzer is always supported.

4. When will the EOS date for a version be announced?

The EOS of a version will be announced six months before its last support date. This way, users will be able to use this time to plan and execute the upgrade process.

5. Is the upgrade free of cost?

Yes, all the upgrades are free, provided you have an Annual Maintenance and Support plan for the current period.
