Chinese mobile firm OnePlus reveals data breach incident.

On Friday, November 22, 2019, the Chinese smartphone firm OnePlus reported that during an internal security audit, it detected an unauthorized attacker had gained access to data. The compromised information includes customers’ names, contact details, email addresses, and shipping addresses. 

The incident

OnePlus announced the data breach on its forum. It notified the affected customers by email and is currently working with the law enforcement to investigate the breach. After the incident, it has been working to upgrade the existing security systems to avoid such incidents in the future.
