Online education website EduCBA reveals data breach incident

Indian-based online education site EduCBA is reported to have suffered a data breach. The attack compromised the users’ names, email addresses, passwords, and courses enrolled.

The Incident

As soon as the attack was identified, EduCBA ran an investigation to identify if any financial data associated to payment service providers, such as PayPal and 2Checkout, was accessed by the threat actors. Fortunately, customer payment information was not leaked. As a precaution, the company has reset all user passwords. The users have been requested to set a new, robust password for protection. EduCBA is currently upgrading its network’s security systems to prevent future attacks.
