Failed to Login to Management Console

When you try to login to the OS Deployer Management Console with the correct username and password, the login fails

This issue is very common when you trial the OS Deployer product. One of the root cause for this issue is Management Agent. During the trial you may tend to install the Management Agent in the OS Deployer installed machine and you will not be able to login to the OS Deployer Management console, once the trial keys used for the installing this Management Agent got expired.

Check whether Management Agent is installed on the computer where OS Deployer is installed. If installed, un-install the Management Agent and try logging in. If problem persists, try renaming the server key in the registry as below:

  1. Click Start-->Run and type regedit and press Enter to open the Windows Registry Editor.
  2. Depending on the OS type traverse to key as below:
    1. Windows 32-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /SOFTWARE /ManageEngine /Encryption /Server
    2. Windows 64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /SOFTWARE /Wow6432Node /ManageEngine /Encryption /Server
  3. Rename the Server subkey to Server1.
  4. Exit the Registry Editor and try logging in to the Management Console.

If problem persists, contact osdeployer-support@manageengine.com
